約翰福音讀後–8:57-8:59

8:57 [hb5] 猶 太 人 說 、 你 還 沒 有 五 十 歲 、 豈 見 過 亞 伯 拉 罕 呢 。
[kjv] Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
8:58 [hb5] 耶 穌 說 、 我 實 實 在 在 的 告 訴 你 們 、 還 沒 有 亞 伯 拉 罕 、 就 有 了 我 。
[kjv] Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
8:59 [hb5] 於 是 他 們 拿 石 頭 要 打 他 ． 耶 穌 卻 躲 藏 、 從 殿 裡 出 去 了 。
[kjv] Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

對於耶穌談亞伯拉罕的言論，猶太眾人當然不是味兒，兼且眼前的傢伙，頂多只有五十歲，所以他們說： 「你 還 沒 有 五 十 歲 、 豈 見 過 亞 伯 拉 罕 呢 。」眾人對耶穌這樣大言不慚多不以為焉，難怪他們有這一說話。

只是耶穌的回應令他們更憤怒，値得我們細看耶穌的反應：「我 實 實 在 在 的 告 訴 你 們 、 還 沒 有 亞 伯 拉 罕 、 就 有 了 我 。」留意這裏用了實實在在的這個詞彙，查看Blue Letter Bible ，原文有 surely的意思，或譯作 amen,作真實解。所以整句可作如是解：我確實的告訴你們、還沒有亞伯拉罕、就有了我。還有，福音書的作者在耶穌介紹自己確是大於亞伯拉罕時，就甚有出埃及記三章摩西初見上帝的影子 :「神 對 摩 西 說 、 我 是 自 有 永 有 的」(出3:14)。

他們對耶穌一番話的回應就是拿石頭打祂，只需看看59節便可知曉：「Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.」今次着意刊出英文譯本，就是想大家留意不同的譯本，就好像今日的中譯本，沒有翻譯到 「going through the midst of them, and so passed by.」為什麼呢？(待續)
